Helvetica Tee

I saw this t-shirt will doing some online shopping. The font is clearly helvetica, but the clever word play with bold and light makes the t-shirt appealing. The colors work well together and make the type stand out.  I think the likes of graphic designers and artist would be keen to buy this kind of top, rather than other people who are not so knowledgeable about the impact helvetica has made. (I was going to buy it, but they didn't have my size.)

Tip of The Cap To You - Hitler vs Chaplin

This is a very simple piece of graphic design, two images, (that appear to be stencils) with a small bit of text.  I've looked into this, and the design is for a hat shop in germany.  I guess that if you looked into the message a bit more, its saying that the hat, defines the person -  Hitler vs Chaplin. I think the background color works perfectly against the black and over all the simplicity of the design makes ad very striking and interesting.

Accordion Bus

A bright idea by a compnay that a friend of mine works for, RKCR Y&R - based in London. The stretched buses (shown in the image) are almost taking over the traditional double deckers in London, and to be frank, they're everywhere! Although this is an image, this advertisement was actually on one of the many buses. Its promoting the Irish Camden Music Festival. (which is in Camden every year) Its clever as the middle of the bus, is constantly stretching and moving in in different ways, just like an accordion would. They typography continues what the message is meant for, and relates to all kind of audiences in a clear way.

Using More Than You Need?

A clever piece of graphic design, created to make people more aware of how much toilet roll and paper tolls we use.  The typeface works well, as its bold and clear and makes you want to read on. (It goes on to say that there are discussions about the subject at 16.30-18.00 in room 111 in the convention centre for the IUCN Congress in Barcelona  - if anyones interested) Its placed in the restrooms, so unless people don't wash their hands, their bound to read it.  The advertising agency is Y&R, based in Geneva, Switzerland, and I think they created a great idea, about an important issue.

Why (how) Did The Chicken Cross The Road?

An advertisement I found from Nissan, created by TBWA, (based in L.A) promoting the new 280-hp altima se-r. An image that portrays perfect composition and balance, accurate color and just enough humor to make plenty of smiles stretched. A clever promotion.

Impossible Is Nothing

This image came from a design by adidas, relating to the beijing olympics.  In my eyes there is immediate contrast in color, supported with a form of unity by continuation.  Although there is a strong focal point, the page is not divided, but the blend of people literally hanging on to the flow of support, that the image represents.

Stress Head T-Shirt

Life ... Seems like every day it gets more and more hectic. Work, money, the weather, that pesky whole in your sock.. It all gets a bit too much. By the end of it, you're pulling your hair out because you just can't fit everything into your day. What can you do? no point stressing over it.

This image is from a T-shirt that I have, this piece of writing actually came with the T-shirt in the bag. I think the concept is simple, extremely effective, and sums up those kind of days that we have from time to time.
